After the fall, the part of Adam and Eve, and all of humankind thereafter, that is the essence of Satan, is in their blood and flesh. The part of them that is like Yahweh Elohim is their spirit or "neshomah".
Adam and Eve sold their God given birthright to rule and reign over the world and Satan for a bite of Satan's deceptive fruit. Now Satan rules over them. The Apostle Paul says that humankind was:
"sold as a slave to sin." Rom 7:14
Their spirit and soul is now ruled over or enslaved by their flesh. They know God and his goodness, righteousness and moral law, but the power of Satan is too overpowering. They have the light of Yahweh Elohim still inside of them but it has become dim and cloudy.
The Psalmist says about those that had rebelled against the words of God that they:
"...sat in darkness and the deepest gloom, prisoners suffering in iron chains." Psalm 107:10, 11
The Apostle Paul says that:
"the body is ruled by sin" Rom 6:6
The Prophet Isaiah describes humans as:
"captives in prison" Isa 42:7
After the fall, all humans are born with their flesh ruling over their spirit and soul. King David says:
"Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me." Psalm 51:5
When the corrupted human body dies, their soul, unless it is rescued by Yahweh Elohim, is still enslaved by Satan for eternity.
The Apostle Paul says:
"I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God." 1 Cor 15:50
Yeshua, Jesus, says to his disciples:
"Once more Jesus said to them, I am going away, and you will look for me, and you will die in your sin. Where I go, you cannot come." John 8:21
